Chip off the Old are a ladies morris dance side from Derby. We have been together since 1978 performing
traditional Cotswold morris (sticks and hankies) from Adderbury, Brackley, Ducklington, Fieldtown, Lichfield and Ilmington. During the summer we perform at festivals, well dressings, village inns and fairs often with other morris teams. We dance with a live band with traditional folk instruments. Beginners and new members are very welcome, all dances are tought through the winter during our practice sessions. Practice is on Wednesdays from 8 - 10pm at either St. Mary's Community Centre, Derby (map) or Holy Family Church, Allestree (map), see events page for venue. Both venues have a free car park. Its good fun and an easy way to keep fit.
